15 killed in Israeli strike on UN school in Gaza
July 25 , 2014
An Israeli strike on a United Nations (UN) school in Gaza killed at least 15 Palestinians and injured 200, according to media reports.
Condemning the attack, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon said it “underscores the imperative for the killing to stop and to stop now.
Chris Gunness, the spokesperson for the UN Relief and Works agency, said the Israeli military had been provided with coordinates of UN schools sheltering displaced Gaza residents, and UN staff were trying hard to evacuate people from the school before the strike.
