14 More Charred Bodies Recovered after Northern California Wildfire

  • A massive wildfire in and around a Northern California town has reportedly killed many people. Reports say charred remains of 14 more people have been found, increasing the death toll to 23. Scott Maclean, the spokesperson for California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, reportedly said that a mountain community in and around Paradise (145 km north of Sacramento), was devastated by the Camp Fire. Circumstances of the deaths are still unknown and identification of the victims’ bodies will be difficult as they’re found in a badly burned condition. Reports say 35 more people are still missing and 3 firefighters are injured.
