13 killed in factory fire in Bangladesh
February 1 , 2015
A fire at a plastics factory in Dhaka has killed at least 13 people, media reports said.
The cause of the fire at Nasim Plastic building in the Bangladeshi capital was not immediately known, but there are indications that a malfunctioning boiler or cylinder may have sparked it.
Firemen started searching for bodies under the rubble after the fire was brought under control.
Factory mishaps are common in Bangladesh. At least 1,135 people were killed when the complex of a garment factory collapsed near Dhaka in 2013.
