11 dead as US military plane crashes in Afghanistan
October 2 , 2015
At least 11 people were feared dead after a US Hercules C-130 plane crashed at Afghanistan’s Jalalabad airport, reports say.
Of those killed, six worked for the US military. The others were civilian contractors.
The C-130 is used mostly to carry soldiers and cargo.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for bringing down the plane, but no such independent confirmation has been made. The US military is investigating the cause of the crash.
