July 24 , 2012
A series of bomb attacks and shootings in Baghdad and north of the capital has killed at least 107 people.
Many of those killed were security forces and appear to have been a prime target.
At least 216 people were wounded.
Some 19 Iraqi towns and cities were hit in the wave of apparently co-ordinated attacks.
The deadliest attack was a car bombing at a government building in Sadr city that killed at least 16 people.
In recent months, sectarian violence has returned across Iraq amid a worsening political crisis.
