Save the Children investigates source of Ebola infection as UK nurse critical

  • The charity Save the Children has said it would do its utmost to probe how British nurse Pauline Cafferkey contracted the deadly Ebola virus, according to media reports.

Cafferkey, who had been involved in the charity’s work at Sierra Leone, was diagnosed with Ebola after she returned to Glasgow about a week ago. Her condition has taken a turn for the worse in the last few days and she is critically ill.

The Sierra Leone director of Save the Children, Rob MacGillivray, said the charity would “leave no stone unturned” in its attempt to identify the infection source.
