You may want to avoid Internet Explorer

  • The security flaw found in Internet Explorer is quite serious so the Department of Homeland Security has asked people to use a different browser for now. "We are currently unaware of a practical solution to this problem," the department's team said, and recommended that another browser should be used "until an official update is available."

Microsoft mentioned that it's only aware of "limited targeted attacks" that allow the bad guys to install malware on users' computers. Those who use newer versions of Windows should expect a security patch but XP users may be on their own.

Mashable notes that the flaw is so serious that it wouldn't be fair on the company's part to not offer anything to XP users.
