Practicing yoga may offer good protection against heart diseases, especially if you can’t do other vigorous exercises, a study has found.
The research in Netherlands reviewed 37 studies that involved almost 3,000 people, and found that yoga was linked independently to lowering of risk factors to the heart including cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Yoga, an ancient exercise form that originated in South Asia, focuses on both physical and mental wellbeing. It has gained popularity in the West in the past few decades.
