XP users face the deadline day

  • Millions of people who were still using Windows XP have now been left on their own. Microsoft gave several warnings to the users and finally decided to pull the plug on its outdated operating system.

The company won't issue security updates for XP and mentioned that PCs that will continue to function won't be secure anymore.

Despite the fact that there have been three Windows releases since 2011, analysts said about 30 percent of users in the US continued to use XP for personal as well as professional uses. Microsoft said it won't extend consumer support for the system any longer but some large users such as the British government paid hefty amounts to receive updates for another year.
