World's Biggest Wind Turbines near Liverpool Go Online
May 17 , 2017
As per reports, biggest and most powerful wind turbines in the world began generating electricity near Liverpool coast. This proved Britain’s reputation as a leader in technology.
The 32 turbines in Liverpool Bay which are taller than the Gherkin skyscraper and blades longer than nine London buses, have been installed by the Danish company Dong Energy.
The 195m-tall turbines have more than double the power capacity of those in the neighbouring Burbo Bank windfarm that were completed almost a decade ago.
This is the first project that has been commercially used anywhere in the world.
