White House to bypass website

  • The White House agreed to another concession and decided to enroll qualified customers for tax credits and bypassing HealthCare.gov.

"It's the end here that matters, not necessarily the means," a White House spokesman said. "We have to make sure that there are other means available for the American people, even as we make improvements to the website."

Although, people can choose to buy health insurance directly from insurers, those who are eligible for subsidies will have to purchase it on HealthCare.gov.

Now if the technical issues are resolved, customers will be able to purchase it directly along with subsidies.
