Virtual reality headset: Oculus ties up with Xbox

  • Oculus VR has revealed its virtual reality headset and said that it would include an Xbox One controller.

The firm, which is owned by Facebook, also said that it was developing Oculus Touch, its own handheld controller system.

The Rift headset is due to be released in early-2016, and will compete with headsets of rivals such as Sony and HTC.

Thanks to an agreement with Microsoft, Oculus users will have the ability to stream Xbox One games on to the headset.
