US sends most spam emails, Bulgaria heads spam-per-person list

  • The United States is responsible for sending more spam emails than any other country in the world.

In the past three months, the US sent 24.2% of the world’s spam, substantially higher than France (6.7%) and China (6.2%), the second and third ranking countries when it comes to spam, according to a report by Sophos, a security firm that tracks locations of computers sending spam emails.

However, when it comes to spam messages per person, Bulgaria heads the list for nations with populations crossing 300,000.
