US Regulator Approves Amazon's Drone Trial
March 22 , 2015
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has sanctioned Amazon’s plans to start testing drones for online deliveries. FAA said that it has granted certificate to Amazon for people having pilot’s licenses who will test the unmanned aircraft. As under US laws, it is illegal to operate drones, some conditions are given to Amazon. The drones should be flown at 400 feet or below during daylight hours and must be within the pilot’s sight. However, the rules are under revision by FAA and it is expected to issue new rules regarding operation of unmanned aircrafts for recreational and commercial purposes.
