US Cellular to offer Apple products

  • US Cellular, the sixth-largest wireless provider in America, in its first-quarter earnings report announced that it would begin selling Apple products later in 2013. Though the wireless provider did not mention which Apple product, iPhone 5 is the most likely to be sold by US Cellular.

    According to the company’s assessments, about 43% of its clients use smartphones leaving much space for growth. The iPhone was exclusive to the AT&T network for almost four years till about all the phone carriers of the country started to sell it. Virgin Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Wal-Mart's Straight Talk, T-Mobile and a number of regional carriers such as the Appalachian Wireless, C Spire, Cellcom, GCI, Leap Wireless' Cricket Communications, and nTelos offer the iPhone 5.
