US: Apple to unveil music streaming service at Developers Conference

  • A rebranded "Apple Music" will be introduced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. This was confirmed by Sony Music Entertainment chief executive Doug Morris. In 2014, Apple bought Beats Music streaming service and the headphones business for $3 billion. This new music streaming service combines the Beats service and the iPhone maker's strengths to challenge established players such as Pandora, Spotify, and others.
