UK should provide GM crop technology to poor countries: Owen Paterson

  • Environment secretary, Owen Paterson, said that United Kingdom would be acting unfairly if it didn’t make GM crop technologies accessible to poor countries.

    He addressed this to international crop scientists during his speech at Rothamsted crop research station which was welcomed by the scientists. He said that we have the verified technology to help but the issues are too difficult to deal with.
