Twitter launches downloadable tweets archive tool
December 17 , 2012
Twitter has launched the long-promised feature enabling users to download their entire post history.
Users on Sunday began reporting that a ‘Your Twitter archive' option now appeared on their account Settings page within the web browser version.
Those who requested the archive have been emailed a link from Twitter stating that the archive is ready to download.
The link contains a .zip file that can be viewed in HTML.
Twitter is yet to officially confirm that the new feature has been launched.
The new feature comes three months after CEO Dick Costolo promised that downloadable tweets would be available by the end of the year.
