Twitter has no women on its board
October 26 , 2013
Although, women are more likely to be Twitter users than men are, the company doesn't have any women on its board.
Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times writes that he would like to see that change but not just for the sake of equality. "This shouldn't be seen as a favor to women but as a step that would be good for all of us," Kristof writes.
Research has proven that companies, in which women enjoy senior positions, fare better financially. It has shown that "a critical mass of about 30 percent women" is essential.
Hence, adding just one woman to its board won't do Twitter much good. Considering that a study proved that testosterone was directly proportional to risky trades, the company should really think about this issue.
