Twitter adds a female to its board
December 6 , 2013
Twitter finally added a woman named Majorie Scardino to its boy club of executives after much criticism.
The company became the topic of controversy right before it went public when the NYT noted that its executives comprised only of white males and no woman.
Scardino has replaced the former CEO of DoubleClick named David Rosenblatt, who served on the board. She herself has served as CEO of Pearson and has had experience serving several other roles.
"It seems to be a relevant and helpful addition to the board based on her international experience and experience in the media business," an analyst told Bloomberg. "It is of high relevance to their expansion."
