THL to acquire IT services company CompuCom for $1.1 billion

  • IT outsourcing company CompuCom Systems revealed on Monday that it is to be bought by private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners.

    According to a source close to the matter, the deal is worth $1.1 billion.

    Texas-based CompuCom was previously owned by Court Square Capital Partners, a private equity firm formed out of Citigroup in 2006, after it was acquired in 2007 for approximately $628 million.

    CompuCom provides a range of technology to help clients through deployment, management and retirement lifecycle of their IT assets.

    Last year, it reported gross revenue of $2.3 billion.

    The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year.
