Thieves crash vehicle into Berlin Apple store
December 24 , 2013
A group of thieves reportedly crashed a stolen Opel Corsa into an Apple store in Berlin and got away with $137,000 worth of merchandise.
The thieves stole iPads, Macs and iPhones and took off in two Audis. A daily newspaper mentioned that this is the seventh such attack in Berlin this year.
Considering that Apple devices fetch high prices on the secondary market, individual devices are usually stolen but such organized robberies in stores remain uncommon.
The Berlin store will likely close for repair and cleanup before opening again.
