Teen arrested in heartbleed attack
April 18 , 2014
A 19-year-old Canadian has been charged with using Heartbleed to hack into the Canada Revenue Agency.
Stephen Arthuro Solis-Reyes of Ontario is being accused of stealing 900 social insurance numbers. He's a computer-science student and has previously created an app to solve Soduko puzzles.
It's not clear as to when the theft took place but authorities have promised to notify those who were affected. The CRA shut down its online systems for a little while but are now functional again.
