Sony's upgraded virtual reality helmet set for 2016 release

  • Technology and entertainment giant Sony has made public an upgraded version of a virtual reality helmet that goes on sale next year.

Instead of an LCD display, Project Morpheus now comes with an OLED one, allowing it to display colors that are more vibrant.

Its graphics’ capability is now at 120 frames a second, which means a smoother appearance of moving objects, Sony has revealed.

Morpheus uses the popular PlayStation console to play games.
