Some old tech words won't ever die

  • You probably use the term rewind while talking about YouTube but probably haven't rewound a tape since the VHS era.

Mashable noted that several of such words that have been outdated for decades are still used in our day-to-day lives.

For instance, we never "hang up" after speaking to someone since we're really just hitting a button on our smartphones. Moreover, we don't "roll up" our car windows anymore unless we're driving a classic.

CC'ing is another term, which stands for "carbon copy" but we can't remember when we last used carbon paper.
