Snowden robbed NSA using cheap software
February 10 , 2014
Edward Snowden scraped the NSA's computer networks with the help of a widely available software.
"We do not believe this was an individual sitting at a machine and downloading this much material in sequence," an official said. The software is similar to Googlebot, which copies everything while moving from one website to another. Reports suggest that Snowden continued to use the software even after being challenged by officials about his work a few times.
The NSA investigation hasn't figured out whether Snowden worked at an poorly secured office or if he purposely held the kind of jobs that would let him gain credibility.
Snowden has also been accused of spying for the Russia but has denied the reports.
