Skype bug sends messages to unintended recipients
July 17 , 2012
Skype has confirmed a bug in its software has led to copies of messages being sent to unintended recipients.
The company admitted the error after users in its support forums had said private instant messages had been re-sent to other contacts.
Skype said it was working on a fix for the bug, which appears to have been introduced in an update to Skype applied last month.
Some users have threatened to stop using the service because of the glitch.
Skype said it aims to put out a software update in the "next few days" to fix the problem.
