Sandberg apologizes over Facebook's psychological experiments
July 3 , 2014
Facebook’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has apologized for the secret psychological tests that were conducted by the firm in 2012 on around 700,000 users, as per media reports.
Facebook’s experiments have been slammed by many users and commentators.
Sandberg said the psychological experiments were “part of ongoing research” done by the firms to test different products, but “it was poorly communicated.” She added: “And for that communication we apologize. We never meant to upset you.”
