Samsung cautions customers about 'listening' Smart TV

  • Samsung has warned customers over discussing information of personal nature near their smart TV sets.

The warning is for those who control the Samsung Smart TV through voice activation.

These television sets may “listen” to what is being said and possibly share details with Samsung or a third party, the company said.

Samsung has, however, stressed that the TV remote control activates the voice recognition feature, and the voice data captured was not retained or sold.
