Russian spacecraft docks at international space station

Nasa has reportedly said that a Russian Soyuz spacecraft with Italy’s first female astronaut on board had docked safely with the international space station.
Italy’s Samantha Cristoforetti, Russia’s Anton Shkaplerov and US astronaut Terry Virts reached the space lab on the craft called Soyuz TMA-15M. The Soyuz was “confirmed as attached properly,” Nasa said according to media reports.
The three astronauts who took off from Kazakhstan are due to remain at the international space station till May.
