Russian hackers read President Obama's 'unclassified emails': report

  • Russian hackers who last year penetrated the White House computer system had reportedly got access to US President Barack Obama’s unclassified emails.

The revelation was made by the New York Times, which reported that the breach may have included sensitive information and was much more intrusive than previously acknowledged.

Though no classified information was compromised, White House officials have admitted that “highly sensitive” information is part of the “unclassified communications”, according to the newspaper report.
