Reddit makes access to 'abhorrent' content more difficult

  • Reddit has announced that it will soon be more difficult to access “abhorrent” content on the popular community news and link-sharing site.

It has decided against an outright ban on such content, but users need to log-in to access it.

Steve Huffman, the co-founder and chief executive of Reddit, said such an approach allows the company “to repudiate content we don’t want to associate with the business” while giving individual users the “freedom to consume it”.
