Privacy law 'violations': Facebook faces class action suit in Europe

Thousands of Facebook users are suing the internet giant over alleged violations of privacy laws in Europe.
The class action suit is being spearheaded by Max Schrems, an Austrian law graduate and data protection activist.
The claim focuses on how the social networking firm forwards and collects information. The European headquarters of Facebook in Dublin is also named in the suit.
Compensation claims of around $539 per person are part of the case.
