Preorders begin for Apple's new iPhone

  • Pre-orders for Apple's new iPhone 5C have finally begun at the company's website as well as on the websites of major cell phone carriers.

The Apple website and app have come back live with all the updated information after displaying the "we'll be back" message Thursday evening.

Those who order the devices now would be receiving them on Sept. 20.

The traditional Apple upgrade starts at $199 whereas the 5C comes in different colors and starts with $99. Walmart is selling them for $79 and the ones with 16 GB for $189.

Pre-orders for Apple's 5S are not available as yet but it has been revealed that the devices come with fingerprint ID sensors and are twice as fast as the company's previous model.
