People can now send smelly emails

  • Scientists recently emailed a photo from Paris to New York and reports suggest that the images of food in the email also included corresponding scents.

"With the oPhone, people will be able to share with anyone, anywhere, not just words, images, and sounds, but sensory experience itself," Harvard professor David Edwards said.

Such an email is possible when a sender creates the message using an app called oSnap, which allows him to use basic smells to form an appropriate one. Edwards mentioned that nearly 300k combinations can be created.
