Oldest pair of pants in the world discovered
June 4 , 2014
Science News reports that experts have unearthed the world's oldest pair of pants in China. Reports suggest that the two pairs are reasonably stylish and were found along with the remains of two people, who were alive nearly 3,300 years ago.
Phys.org notes that these pants appear to have been custom-made, which suggests that this art has been around for a while.
"Rather than the modern method of cutting down large pieces of fabric, the early pants were woven on a loom in precisely-sized segments to form the final garment, like nomad couture," Time notes.
