NSA can access data on smartphones
September 10 , 2013
Recent reports suggest that National Security Agency has the capability to access a wide range of data on people's smartphones including text messages, notes and information regarding GPS.
The devices that can be hacked include iPhone, BlackBerry as well as Android though mass spying hasn't been indicated in the documents. Rather this sort of hacking is done only on targeted individuals.
BlackBerry that has always said its email is super secure, should be affected most by this news. The NSA documents do suggest that the intelligence agency was unable to access BlackBerries for a long time but a technical change in 2010 helped them restore access.
A full report regarding this is due soon. Meanwhile, iPhone users should act carefully since the report suggests that the NSA has access to at least 38 features on the iPhone.
