New bug has potential to affect millions of computers, experts warn

A new bug that has been described as a “deadly serious” vulnerability could possibly hit hundreds of millions of computers and devices, experts say.
The bug, called Shellshock, is a part of Bash, a software component found in several systems, including Linux and Apple’s Mac.
Experts say that Shellshock can be maliciously used to control any system, with some warning that it could potentially be an even bigger threat than Heartbleed, a bug that was discovered in April.
