Nasa launch of unmanned spacecraft postponed
December 5 , 2014
After multiple attempts and much frustration, Nasa postponed the launch of the Orion, the unmanned spacecraft. It will go far out in the space and test the readiness for ambitious future missions, including a possible manned Mars operation.
The reasons for Thursday’s delays, included a boat that accidentally entered the launch area, wind disturbances, and a valve malfunction.
The launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida was eventually called off for the day; Nasa is expected to give it another shot on Friday.
