Most Americans doubt the Big Bang
April 22 , 2014
A new survey revealed that Americans generally tend to believe scientists when it comes to matters about health but there's plenty of doubt about the Big Bang theory. Fifty-one percent of people said they don't believe in it and 40 percent said they didn't think that our planet is 4.5 billion years old.
"Most often, values and beliefs trump science," head of the American Association for the Advancement of Science said. "When you are putting up facts against faith, facts can't argue against faith. It makes sense now that science would have made no headway because faith is untestable."
