Microsoft to slash 1,850 jobs

Microsoft, which is struggling to gain traction in the highly competitive smartphone market, has cut more jobs in its phone business. According to media reports, Microsoft on Wednesday said that it would be slashing around 1,850 jobs over the next year. Majority of the jobs that are being cut are its Microsoft Mobile Unit located in Finland. In the past two years the company has slashed thousands of jobs.
