Man blames government for ruining his life over a Google search

  • Jeffrey Kantor said the federal government ruined his life and even got him fired from his job because of a Google search.

Reports suggest that the man attempted to search for "How do I build a radio-controlled airplane?" However, Google's auto-complete feature ended up filling the rest of the sentence after "How do I build a" with the word "bomb."

Kantor mentioned that he was soon visited by investigators and one of them repeatedly made anti-Semitic comments. He worked for a government contractor named Appian, where he was allegedly threatened. After losing this job, he began to work for another contractor but the threats never stopped.

The Virginia man is now seeking about $60M in damages.
