Malware used to spy on firms and governments since 2008

  • A malware used to spy on governments, private firms, individuals, and research institutes in at least 10 countries for the past six years has been uncovered, Symantec Corp, the antivirus software firm has reportedly said on Sunday, November 23.

    The American company, which makes the Norton antivirus said research conducted by it had indicated that a nation-state was likely to be behind the malicious software called Regin, which was “highly suited” for surveillance operations that are “persistent” and “long-term.”
