October 8 , 2014
Officials from EU countries and major technology firms are meeting on Wednesday to discuss ways to confront online extremism.
The Luxembourg gathering will be attended by representatives from Twitter, Microsoft, Facebook and Google and ministers from 28 EU member states along with members from the European Commission.
The Commission said there was a need to “enhance the dialogue” with internet technology firms “on issues of mutual concerns related to online radicalization”.
