Learn a new language to slow the ageing of your brain

People often say that knowing different languages can help you fight dementia. The media reports note that it may not be late even for adults to benefit from learning a new language. Recent intelligence tests showed that cognitive scores of those in their seventies were impressive even if they learned a second language later on in life.
"Millions of people around the world acquire their second language later in life," a researcher told the media. "Our study shows that bilingualism, even when acquired in adulthood, may benefit the aging brain."
