JD Power's customer survey rates Samsung higher than Apple

JD Power released the findings of its biannual customer-satisfaction survey yesterday, rating Samsung at 835 out of 1,000, with Apple close behind at 833. The third spot in customer satisfaction was taken by Amazon with 826, with Asus and Acer following in fourth and fifth place.
The ratings are based on a survey of 3,375 tablet owners who rated their user experience of tablets between March and August 2013. The survey did not include users of the iPad Mini and iPad Air which have recently been released. Respondents to the survey rated Samsung higher on the survey in terms of cost, whereas Apple was rated higher on performance, ease of operation, styling/design, and features, leading tech analysts to question JD Power's scoring system. While JD Power did not respond to questions at this time, the survey mentioned that Samsung is the sole manufacturer that has improved across all rating categories since the previous biannual survey results were released in April.
