Internet line shot out in Alaska
January 11 , 2014
It must have been tough for people in Tanana to wish their friends online since the Internet has been out in the region since New Year's Eve.
Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported that revelers took out a fiber-optic cable line by firing their shot guns and the issue is still not fixed. The village is located about 150 miles from Fairbanks and the provider still awaits replacement parts.
The owner of Yukon Telephone and Supervisions Cable TV mentioned that "you can't fix stupid" in Alaska.
