HP CEO offers positive outlook for 2014 revenue growth

  • Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman said on Wednesday that revenue growth was "still possible" in its next fiscal year.

Speaking in an interview with cable network CNBC, Whitman added that the performance of the overall PC market remained in limbo.

Shares in the computer maker rose 4 percent to $25.22 in early trade on Wall Street following Whitman’s comments.

According to analysts, revenue for HP’s 2014 fiscal year is expected to come in at $108.9 billion, down from a previous expectation of $111.4 billion for fiscal 2013, which ends in October.
