Hackers target Malaysia Airlines website

  • The Malaysia Airlines website has been hacked reportedly by a group which calls itself “Lizard Squad -- Official Cyber Caliphate”.

On Monday, the homepage of the national carrier showed a photograph of a lizard.

The airlines confirmed the site had been hacked, but said customer data and bookings were not affected.

The site has been compromised at a time when Malaysia Airlines is still reeling from last year’s two major disasters: the shooting down of flight MH17 and the disappearance of flight MH370.
