Hackers hit Obama on social media

  • Fans of President Obama on Facebook and Twitter were recently taken to a graphic video showing Syria's civil war.

The Syrian Electronic Army, which is a pro-Assad group took responsibility for the attack and claimed breaking into the social media accounts of the man in charge of the US.

Reports suggest that a link shortener used by a nonprofit group called Organizing for Action, was compromised but the Twitter account wasn't.

The links have now been fixed; this was only one of the many SEA attacks, which have previously also affected websites for the Marine Corps.
